Analysis- Usage of Mobile and Wireless Technology by New Zealand Business Users12 December 2004
This study examines the usage and adoption of mobile and wireless technology among New Zealand business users. It discusses New Zealand businesses' spending on cellular services, device use, preferred wireless service providers, and satisfaction.
"The New Zealand business wireless market remains largely untapped implying that there is significant growth potential. Future adoption plans however do not appear to be particularly strong, with 54.3% of the respondents indicating no plans to adopt. There is however a potential market opportunity with those respondents who are still evaluating the technology. The key message for service providers is therefore to take advantage of this segment of the market through market education and improving awareness," says Jane McPherson, market analyst, Software and Services Research, IDC New Zealand.
