BellSouth Long Distance Inc and the Communications Workers of America Reach Working18 March 2005
BellSouth Long Distance, Inc. and the Communications Workers of America today announced they have agreed to extend their current working agreement, which was to expire March 19, 2005.
The extension will be from March 19, 2005 until December 31, 2005.
In addition to extending the terms of the current contract, the following items were included in the agreement:
- Wages will be increased by 1 percent, effective March 20, 2005.
- All employees will receive a lump sum payment equal to 4 percent of
their annualized basic pay.
- Pension bands will be increased 3 percent, effective July 1, 2005.
