Catcher Holdings, Inc. Obtains FCC Approval for CATCHER(TM) Device1 November 2005
Catcher Holdings, Inc., (OTC Bulletin Board: CTHH) ("Catcher"), developer of the CATCHER(TM), a portable, ruggedized, wireless, hand-held computer and communications device designed to Military Standard 810F, announced today it has obtained Part 15 Class B approval from the Federal Communications Commission ("FCC") for its proprietary CATCHER(TM) device. FCC Part 15 Class B certification allows for production units of CATCHER(TM) to be sold into the government, commercial and consumer markets. Chairman/Inventor Ira Tabankin and Charles Sander, Chief Executive Officer and President of Catcher Holdings, Inc., jointly commented, "Receiving FCC Class 15B approval for the CATCHER(TM) device is a significant milestone for the Company and clears one of the most critical remaining hurdles to begin full scale production of units and the ultimate sale of product to potential partners. The response we have received from VAR, OEM candidates, and distributors who have witnessed product demonstrations and field evaluations of the working prototype units has been nothing short of excellent and exceeded their performance expectations. We are cautiously optimistic about the prospects of beginning full-scale production of the CATCHER(TM) device before the end of this calendar year."
The CATCHER(TM) device is the culmination of new technology breakthroughs, extensive research, and product development that the Company believes will meet the needs of many government agencies and commercial entities for a ruggedized, portable, handheld computer, communications and telemetry control device. The unit was designed and engineered to provide field personnel and "First Responders" access to mission-critical information in the form of wireless or wired, real-time bi-directional voice, video, text, telemetry and data enabling command center personnel to remotely view an incident or job site. Weighing just 3.5 lbs., including batteries, the CATCHER(TM) is 10 inches in width, 7.25 inches in height, 2.25 inches in depth, and has a daylight-viewable 6.4 inch diagonal VGA LCD backlit touch screen.
