Ceragon to Provide Israel's Air Force With Secure Wireless Communication Solution24 January 2007
Ceragon Networks Ltd. (NASDAQ: CRNT , TASE: CRNT), http://www.ceragon.com , a leading provider of high-capacity wireless backhaul solutions, today announced that the Israeli Air Force (IAF) has decided to expand its core network with Ceragon's field-proven, secure wireless communication solution, providing exceptional performance, security and reliability. The order received is valued at $1 million, and additional orders are expected. Ceragon's FibeAir 1500P broadband wireless links have been used by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) since 2003 in areas where there is no fiber optics reach and as a cost-effective alternative to existing leased lines. The IAF's communications require a high performance network which must provide extremely stringent reliability to ensure continuous communications. Ceragon's wireless solution address the needs of the air force for high capacity, reliable and secure transmission solution for mission critical applications. Ceragon's solutions will enable the air force to expand its backbone connectivity infrastructure easily and cost-effectively, meeting growing deployment needs. Ceragon's solution will also be used to back up the IAFs fiber optic network guaranteeing constant communication at all times. "We are pleased to extend our long term relationship with the IDF and are honored to be chosen by the air force, a true testimony of customer satisfaction," said Ira Palti, President and CEO, Ceragon Networks Ltd. "The air force's decision reflects our ability to meet the most extreme challenges and demands, and further establishes Ceragon as a provider of backhaul solutions for the defense and government sectors."
