Cingular Wireless Turns on Seven New Cell Sites in Chattanooga, Nashville Markets6 October 2005
Cingular Wireless customers in
Central Tennessee can now enjoy expanded coverage in their communities thanks
to the recent addition of seven new GSM cell sites. GSM, or Global System for
Mobile communications, is the world standard for wireless communication, used
by more than a billion people in 200-plus countries.
Specific areas benefiting from the new cell sites include:
* CHATTANOOGA MARKET
* Downtown Rossville and along Highway 27 in that area
* Along Highway 58 and in surrounding Chattanooga communities
* NASHVILLE MARKET
* Along Tyree Springs Road in Sumner County, between Hendersonville and
White House
* In Cumberland City and along Highway 149 from Clarksville to Erin
* Between Gallatin and Bethpage in Sumner County
* The campus of Motlow State Community College in Tullahoma
* Along the heavily traveled Old Smyrna Road in Brentwood
"Cingular is committed to providing the best wireless network in the
industry, and the number of new cell sites we are adding to our Tennessee

Cingular's Tennessee and Kentucky markets.
Cingular Wireless plans to invest more than $160 million in its Tennessee
network before year's end, integrating the Cingular and AT&T Wireless
networks, increasing coverage and capacity, building 67 new cell sites, adding
portable generators and back-up batteries, and offering enhanced new features.
Cingular's local investment is part of a $6.2 billion commitment to enhance
and expand its ALLOVER (SM) Network nationwide.
