Clarity Communication Systems Announces Evaluation Version of Its Advanced Push-to-Talk Product

Clarity Communication Systems Inc., a
provider of Push-to-Talk (PTT) solutions, Location-Based Services (LBS), and
custom product solutions for the mobile marketplace, announced today their
Push-to-Talk product, inTouch, is now available for evaluation by wireless
carriers and application service providers.
inTouch, a high-speed SIP-based Walkie-talkie solution, combines a
downloadable handset client with VoIP technologies to deliver PTT voice
services over standard wireless packet data infrastructure. Using the inTouch
system, subscribers can place private and group half-duplex calls across one
or more networks at the push of a button.
"The market for PTT is evolving and now represents exciting new
opportunities in the traditional mobile workforce markets as well as
'community-of-interest' consumer markets," states Jim Fuentes, Clarity Chief
Executive Officer. "Clarity's PTT solution enables carriers to introduce new
services quickly and cost-effectively without making a large investment in
product development."
inTouch features the lowest latency on CDMA systems; excellent voice
quality; CDMA spectrum efficiency documented to be 30% more efficient than
cellular voice calls; and a portable Over-the-Air downloadable handset client.
The service can be used across disparate wireless networks and is available in
BREW, Windows Mobile and Windows XP versions. The evaluation version is
available now directly from Clarity; the commercial version is expected to be
available in Q4/2005.
