Dialogue FlyBook(R) now AirCard Enabled(TM) with Sierra Wireless embedded modules for 3G wireless connections

16 January 2007

Sierra Wireless (NASDAQ: SWIR - TSX: SW) and Dialogue Technology Corp. today announced that Dialogue has selected Sierra Wireless voice-enabled PCI Express Mini Card embedded modules to provide integrated high-speed wireless connectivity for its FlyBook(R) line of ultra-portable notebook computers, including the V33i series, VM series and new V5 series to be demonstrated this week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas (Booth: Sands 72432).

Since the first FlyBook (Model A33i) was released in 2002, Dialogue has been a unique mobile computer company providing integrated wireless wide area networking in mobile notebook computers worldwide. With wireless LAN, Bluetooth and other wired functions all built-in, FlyBook offers complete connectivity to users.

The FlyBook V33i and V5 series offer both tablet and standard clamshell operation, in a footprint approximately the size of an A5 sheet of paper. With Advanced Intel mobile and ultra-low-voltage CPU, high-resolution 16:9 LCD display, Microsoft Windows XP or Vista, and their stylish design, the V33i and V5 series have been designed for users who want their computer to be an indispensable companion for both business and private use.

The FlyBook VM series offers a unique stretching arm design that provides a better viewing experience than any other 12.1-inch display-based laptop computer. It has been designed with advanced ultra-low-voltage from Intel and rich peripherals, enabling road-warriors to do better presentations and to enjoy a superb user interface as well.

"FlyBook customers are looking for the latest technology and style," said Michael Lee, VP Marketing for Dialogue Technology. "The integrated Sierra Wireless embedded module helps us to deliver a fast, reliable wireless connection in the small, stylish form our customers expect, and gives them the ability to stay in touch and keep the information they need at their fingertips wherever they go."

"Dialogue Technology's innovatively designed FlyBook products are a great match for Sierra Wireless embedded modules, delivering the latest in wireless wide area network technology without compromising on style or size," said Dan Schieler, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales for Sierra Wireless. "FlyBook users can rely on a convenient, high-speed AirCard Enabled(TM) connection whenever and wherever they need it, without the need to look for a hotspot or carry extra accessories with them."

The FlyBook V33i is available worldwide now. The VM and V5 are ready to be delivered in Europe in Q1, 2007 and expected to be ready by end of Q1 for the North America market.
