Connexion by Boeing's In-Flight Wi-Fi Network Newest Addition to Fiberlink's Mobile Workforce Solutions
Fiberlink Communications Corp., a leading innovator and trusted enterprise partner for secure mobile workforce solutions, and Connexion by Boeing, a business unit of The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA), today announced an agreement to deliver secure, in-flight access solutions to Fiberlink's enterprise customers. Corporate IT managers will soon be able to deploy in-flight Wi-Fi as part of a comprehensive mobile workforce strategy for the approximately 600,000 mobile workers that use Fiberlink's access software.
Fiberlink helps enterprise IT organization deliver reliable and flexible access for their mobile workforce as they move from hotel rooms and public hot spots to airports, and with this new agreement, to aircraft. Fiberlink's customers can now take advantage of its mobile access software while working in-flight, and at the same time, their IT departments can maintain complete control over the security threats, compliance issues and spiraling access costs associated with mobile computing. This new service complements Fiberlink's industry-leading "All Access" mobile data plan with additional enterprise-class access and security at 35,000 feet.
