Free High-Speed Internet Connection Empowers Low-Income Residents; Propel Wireless Donates Revolutionary Technology to Lawrence FreeNet26 June 2006

Studies show that while Internet access is on the rise in the U.S., many low-income residents are not able to benefit from it. A report from the U.S. Department of Higher Education found that only 31 percent of low-income students had computer access at home, compared to 80 percent of students from higher-income families.
