Free Highspeed Wireless Internet in Toronto (GTA)27 March 2005
Simply Wireless LAN today announces the launch of 4 new Wireless Hotspots which allows small businesses, such as restaurants, café’s and doughnut shops, to offer free Internet access to their customers. With the explosion of wireless enabled devices on the market, laptops and PDA’s today come equipped to work with 802.11 networks. It is expected there will be more than 200,000 Hotspots in North America by 2009 and over 700,000 worldwide generating access and venue related revenues of over $11 billion.
Users with WiFi-enabled devices such as laptops and PDA’s can gain access to the secure high-speed Internet in any number of Simply Wireless LAN (SWL) free zone locations, send e-mail or establish a VPN connection to the corporate networks. As long as users are in a SWL free zone location, their devices will detect the network automatically. The SWL high speed Internet service will now be available at four more locations in GTA; Murphy’s Law in the Beaches, The Pour House in the Annex, Ned Devine’s in Milton as well as The Foggy Dew in KingWest Village. Not to forget Mersini's in the Beach and Java Ville in Cabbage town.
As with all Simply Wireless LAN locations, there is no charge to the customer. Unlike similar services being offered today at a cost, anyone with a WiFi-enabled device can simply walk into any one of our locations and automatically be connected to the high speed Internet for free. There are no forms to fill out and no credit card information to enter just enjoy their hospitality and the Items from the menu.
For advertisers, there is a new unique way to target your audience that can produce Website traffic and provide non-traditional revenue streams.
