FTS Acquires Stake in Mobile Game Developer Maxim Software16 November 2005
FTS Group, Inc. (OTC BB: FLIP), a publicly traded
holding company operating in the wireless industry through its wholly owned
subsidiary FTS Wireless, Inc., today announced that it has acquired a 40%
stake in Bucharest, Romania-based mobile game developer Maxim Software SRL.
FTS CEO Scott Gallagher stated, "Today's announcement is, in my opinion, a
very important one for FTS. The partnership with Maxim takes FTS from a
distributor of third party products to a distributor of proprietary mobile
products and content thereby opening up new markets and revenue streams."
Gallagher went on to say, "The relationship allows us to leverage our
existing customer base and increase sales and earnings by marketing
proprietary products such as mobile games, ring-tones and content. We have
several projects under development with Maxim and expect to begin
generating revenue in the first quarter of 2006."
Maxim Software SRL is a mobile game and content developer based in
Bucharest, Romania. The principals of Maxim have developed mobile games for
Sony Digital Pictures, Game Loft and titles such as Dracula's Castle which
will be marketed by FTS in the U.S. and Canada.
