FTS to Begin Marketing ALLTEL Wireless Products and Services27 January 2005
FTS Wireless, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of FTS Group, Inc. (OTCBB:FLIP), an operator of retail wireless locations that market and sell next-generation wireless products and services, and operates Wi-Fi Hot Spots, today announced plans to begin marketing ALLTEL Wireless (NYSE:AT) products and services beginning this February. ALLTEL is currently the nation's sixth largest wireless carrier. The company is expected to become the nation's fifth largest carrier when it closes its previously announced deal to buy Western Wireless (Nasdaq:WWCA) later this year.
FTS CEO Scott Gallagher commented, "ALLTEL has a solid footprint in southwest Florida, our core market. Over the years ALLTEL has built a strong brand by delivering quality service and competitive wireless pricing plans. We believe offering FTS customers access to ALLTEL wireless post paid and prepaid products will translate into noticeable increase's in monthly wireless activation rates for FTS."
FTS Wireless currently distributes cellular products nationally in selected markets from two of the nations top three wireless carrier's, Cingular Wireless and Sprint PCS.
