ICOA Powering Broadband Services at 22nd and 23rd Airports and Sees 76% Growth in Usage

6 October 2005

ICOA, Inc.
(OTC Bulletin Board: ICOA), a national provider of wireless broadband Internet
networks and managed services in high-traffic public locations, announced
today the launching of broadband service into its 22nd and 23rd airport
facilities with full-airport Wi-Fi coverage for Westchester County Airport
(HPN), located in White Plains, NY and Outagamie County Regional Airport
(ATW), located in Appleton, WI.
With the addition of HPN and ATW, ICOA services 14 airports nationally
with full-facility Wi-Fi coverage and wireless and wired service covering
select high-traffic areas within 9 additional airports.
In ICOA airport networks operational since September 2004, the company has
seen a 76% increase in network utilization. Over the same timeframe, ICOA's
airport footprint has expanded from 7 to 23 facilities, a 228% increase, and
network coverage of airport facility annual passengers has increased from 20
million to over 60 million, a 200% increase.
HPN serves approximately 1 million passengers annually. The new broadband
wireless network, first operational on September 1, 2005, covers the entire
airport facility. The airport is owned and operated by Westchester County.
ATW serves over 600,000 passengers annually. The new broadband wireless
network covers the entire airport facility. The airport is owned and operated
by Outagamie County.
Rick Schiffmann, CEO of ICOA, said, "We are delighted to have been
selected to partner with Westchester and Outagamie Counties to power new high-
speed wireless networks, providing broadband Internet access for an additional
1.6 million annual passengers."
ICOA designed and deployed the new airport networks, and will provide
management, maintenance, customer care and the full suite of its back-office
solutions, including authentication and reporting.
The new high-speed broadband wireless Internet networks will offer
passengers secure, convenient wireless Internet access from anywhere in the
terminal. The public service does not require users to install or use
proprietary software.
Passengers with Wi-Fi-enabled laptops or PDAs will be able to connect to
the Internet to check their e-mail, access their corporate servers, download
documents and surf the Web with unlimited access from anywhere in the airport.
Airport information, such as flight schedules, ground transportation
information, passenger services and security bulletins can also be accessed
from the Wi-Fi portals at each airport facility.
