Ingate Honored Once Again by Internet Telephony Magazine30 December 2004
Ingate(R) Systems, whose award-winning security products enable enterprises to solve the problem of letting Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) traverse their firewalls, has earned the prestigious 2004 Product of the Year Award from Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC(R))'s Internet Telephony(R) magazine.
Ingate won the 2004 Award for its Remote SIP Connectivity (RSC) software module for the Ingate SIParator(R) 20. This is the third consecutive year that Ingate SIParators have been honored with the Award.
RSC is a far-end NAT traversal solution that enables remote users to leverage the benefits of SIP-based communications already integrated into the company's network. SIP-based communications do not reach users behind firewalls and NATs automatically. RSC allows users behind many remote (non SIP-aware) NATs and residential firewalls to communicate via SIP through the enterprise equipped with the SIParator.
Ingate's SIParator 20 connects to an existing network firewall to seamlessly enable the traversal of SIP communications. Designed specifically for small businesses, the SIParator 20 is an ideal complement to an IP PBX system as it supports advanced IP PBX functions such as call transfer, call hold and voicemail. It also boasts full support and compatibility for Microsoft Office Live Communications Server (LCS) 2005, allowing voice, video, IM and presence applications to work outside the LAN.
"Combined, RSC for the SIParator 20 is a powerful communications tool for the smaller business. At a reasonable price point, RSC for the SIParator 20 delivers true global connectivity with the very best in next-generation communications technology," said Olle Westerberg, Chief Executive Officer, Ingate Systems. "We are delighted to be honored once again by Internet Telephony, the VoIP authority since 1998."
"Each year Internet Telephony magazine bestows its Product of the Year awards on companies that have demonstrated excellence in technological advancement and application refinements. Ingate Systems has demonstrated to the editors of Internet Telephony that its products are committed to quality and innovation while addressing the real needs in the marketplace," said Rich Tehrani, Group Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Internet Telephony.
Ingate SIParators are available in a range of sizes to meet the needs of any business. The SIParator 20 supports up to 50 simultaneous calls, while the SIParator 88 -- the largest in the SIParator line -- supports up to 800.
The Product of the Year Award winners for 2004 will be published in the January 2005 issue of Internet Telephony magazine.
