Kineto Wireless Announces UMA Client Software for Microsoft Mobile Platform8 February 2005
Kineto Wireless, the key innovator and leading supplier of UMA Technology (Unlicensed Mobile Access), announced today that the company is making its UMA Client Software available for smart phones based on the Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC Phone platform. The UMA Client Software is available as part of Kineto's suite of Device Developer Solutions.
UMA Technology, the standard for fixed-mobile convergence (FMC), enables dual-mode cellular-WiFi handsets to provide seamless access to mobile voice, data and IMS services over IP broadband access and unlicensed spectrum technologies.
For silicon platform suppliers, mobile handset developers and phone adaptor vendors integrating UMA Technology, Kineto Wireless licenses a full compliment of device developer solutions including Platform Developer Kits (PDKs), UMA Client Software, and integration services.
