Loftware Brings Emerging RFID Technology To Pease International

19 February 2006

211;- Loftware, Inc. is relocating and expanding its corporate headquarters from York, Maine to Pease International. The move is scheduled to be completed by this May.

By locating at Pease International, Loftware joins over 220 high-growth Pease companies who have chosen this centrally located, world-class office, research & development and industrial park. Margaret O'Brien of CB Richard Ellis/The Boulos Company worked with Loftware to finalize a sublease of 40,000+/- sf within the Flextronics facility at 166 Corporate Drive. «Loftware's relocation to a larger high tech facility at Pease International will allow this great company to continue to grow and attract talented employees. This expansion is expected to generate a 10% growth in their workforce within the first year to a total of over 100 employees», states O'Brien.

Loftware, Inc. is a leading, independent developer of automatic identification solutions focused on enterprise supply chain applications. Its solutions are compatible with leading databases and compliant with leading industry's standards, Loftware offers industry-first innovations in legacy barcode applications as well as next-generation RFID implementations as well as products that bridge an existing investment in barcode technology with users entering the RFID arena. The Company's solutions are sold directly and through VAR and ISV channel partners.

RFID is an emerging technology used in supply chain applications as an auto-identification application. For over twenty years, Loftware has been a leader in the development of enterprise-class barcode software for the supply chain industry.

«Some industry experts believe that RFID will eventually take the place of barcodes within manufacturing and logistics», states Eric L. Anderson, Chief Executive Officer of Loftware. «We believe barcodes and RFID will live hand-in-hand for a while due to sheer economics, but eventually RFID technology could be the preferred technology in the supply chain market. Our decision to relocate to Portsmouth was compelling because our new facility will provide space for current and future expansions, as well as give us access to a demographically large and highly skilled work force.»

George Bald, Executive Director of Pease Development Authority (PDA), looks forward to Loftware's relocation. «We are delighted that the facilities at Pease International can assist in job generation for the seacoast region as well as provide economic growth for our state. Loftware is continuously evolving and adapting its technologies to the current and emerging needs of the supply chain and we are very pleased they have chosen to locate at Pease International.»

«We welcome Loftware to the family of companies at Pease», adds Art Nickless, PDA Chairman of the Board. «It is very exciting that Loftware will be relocating to Pease. Their relocation is a testimony to how Pease continues to attract top-notch companies that are creating terrific jobs.»
