Network Chemistry Provides the Most Widely Used Wireless Threat Protection and Analysis Products in the World

2 March 2006

Network Chemistry Inc., the wireless

security experts, announced today that it has secured more than 75 new

enterprise deployments since the beginning of the third quarter in July.

Albertsons, Loews, the New York State Police, the U.S. Department of

Energy, two Fortune 500 utilities, and hundreds of other name-brand

companies now trust Network Chemistry to automatically protect them against

wireless threats. In all, the company's wireless threat protection

solutions are used by over 300 organizations, including many of the world's

most successful enterprises and exacting government agencies and U.S.

military forces.

Network Chemistry also announced that its free tools have been downloaded

more than 250,000 times to date, making the company's products among the

most widely used in the wireless security or networking industries. The

company provides these tools because organizations have an immediate need

to better understand wireless threats, to protect themselves, and to comply

with regulations. The tools include BlueScanner™ for performing

Bluetooth vulnerability assessments and Packetyzer™ for wireless and

wired packet analysis. In addition, the company announced today that has

jumpstarted the industry's first vendor-neutral Wireless Security

Vulnerabilities and Exploits (WVE) database, to categorize all known

wireless threats and to apply standard nomenclature to the entries for

public use. (Editor's note: See today's release entitled "Industry's Only

Wireless Security Vulnerabilities and Exploits Database Launched to Help

Prevent Wireless Networking Attacks.")

"Wireless is now the top vector for unauthorized access to networks and

mobile laptops, and places organizations at significant risk if not

secured. We've always been the technical leader. Now our rapid customer

growth shows both the value that we provide our customers and our progress

in making wireless threat protection technology broadly available and easy

to implement," said Rob Markovich, president and CEO of Network Chemistry.

"We'll continue to innovate at a rapid pace, remain closely linked with the

technical community, and offer award-winning products that assure

enterprises they can protect their wireless data, networks, and users."

Network Chemistry offers the industry's only integrated platform for

automating wireless threat protection, covering organizations' assets both

inside and outside their facilities:

-- RFprotect™ Distributed, the company's flagship product, is a patent-

pending wireless intrusion detection and prevention (WIDP) system with a

two-tier system architecture -- a central security engine with the

industry's only purpose-build sensors -- that automates threat detection,

attack prevention, and 'no wireless' policy enforcement inside the

enterprise

-- RFprotect Endpoint is a laptop security product that ensures wireless

data privacy for mobile users, automating wireless security enforcement

outside the enterprise, transparently to the user (Editors note: See

today's release entitled "Network Chemistry Delivers Industry's First

Enterprise Product to Actively Enforce Wireless Security on Mobile Laptops

Anywhere.")

-- RFprotect Mobile is a portable analysis product for network designers

and security personnel to design, analyze, and secure wireless networks by

conducting site surveys and accelerating incident response

Network Chemistry's solutions enable a wide variety of organizations to

automate wireless threat protection in a manner that meets their specific

needs. The company works with leading retailers such as Albertsons to help

them secure their business transactions and customer data and meet

regulatory requirements. For example, retailers can automate compliance

reporting to help meet the Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security

requirements of the credit card industry. Network Chemistry also helps

federal and local government agencies such as the New York State Police

enforce 'no wireless' policies and secure critical network infrastructure

from risky user behavior and malicious attacks.
