NextPhase Wireless (OTCBB:NXPW), a connectivity company that specializes in integrated Internet, voice and data communication solutions, today announced that it will join other companies such as IBM, Intel, HP, Motorola and Earthlink in sponsoring the first Digital Cities Convention to be held in Philadelphia on May 2-4, 2005.

Municipalities are a primary target of NextPhase Wireless and a growth area for wireless broadband networks. The company is currently engaged in designing and deploying wireless broadband networks for several municipalities as well as other economic development projects.
The event, which will be repeated in Asia and Europe later this year, is attracting key business and political leaders who are looking for ways to successfully deploy broadband municipal-area networks. Elected officials, industry thought leaders, technology providers and systems integrators will participate in an interactive three-day program to explore the full range of opportunities and roadblocks surrounding the planning and deployment of these networks.
Philadelphia Mayor John Street and Philadelphia CIO Dianah Neff will host the convention. They are leading the Wireless Philadelphia Project to create a citywide, 135-square-mile, digital infrastructure to help citizens, businesses, schools and community organizations make effective use of wireless technology.
