8 May 2005

Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids, and Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless service provider, announce the launch of Nick Mobile today, bringing Nickelodeon video content to Verizon Wireless' V CAST wireless phones. Music videos from Nick Jr. favorites Dora the Explorer, Blue's Clues,
The Backyardigans and LazyTown will be the first available content on Nick Mobile, with Nickelodeon television programming scheduled to roll out this summer.

Eight Nick Jr. Videos, each approximately one to three minutes long, are available at launch on Verizon Wireless' V CAST wireless broadband multimedia service: The Backyardigans' 'A Pirate Says Arrr' and 'The Yeti Stomp'; LazyTown's 'Bing Bang Song' and 'There's Always a Way'; Blue's Clues' 'Colors' and 'The Planets Song'; and Dora the Explorer's 'We Love to Sing' and 'Tenemos Amigos.' Nickelodeon plans to release three new Nick Jr. videos each week.
"Nickelodeon is everywhere kids are, which includes cell phones," said Mike Skagerlind, senior vice president and general manager, Nickelodeon Online. "The relationship with Verizon Wireless allows us to offer content
through its V CAST service, providing a new way for our audience to watch their favorite characters, and further extending the Nick and Nick Jr. experience for kids beyond the home. It gives parents another way to engage and play with their kids when they are on-the-go."

"We are excited Nickelodeon, yet another name-brand content provider, will be available to our customers via V CAST," said Jim Straight, vice president of wireless Internet and multimedia services for Verizon Wireless. "With the addition of the Nickelodeon's tremendous content, parents and kids will have a new means to connect with their favorite characters."

V CAST from Verizon Wireless is the first wireless broadband consumer service in the country, allowing customers to view crystal clear short content on demand and videos because it runs on Verizon Wireless' Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO) network - the only widely available wide-area wireless broadband network in the United States.

For $15.00 monthly access added to their Verizon Wireless calling plan, customers get the V CAST VPak that includes unlimited access to a wide arrayof more than 300 regularly updated video clips from leading content providers. Unlimited basic video clips are included, but application download fees apply for 3D games, premium video clips and all other Get It Now(R) applications. There are no airtime charges to download or stream and watch video clips and other V CAST content. Verizon Wireless V CAST customers also receive monthly
access and unlimited browsing on Verizon Wireless' Mobile Web 2.0 SM news and information service. In addition, customers can choose from premium video clip content, available at additional cost that includes music videos and more.

For a limited time, customers who sign up for V CAST will receive two months of service free. V CAST's array of hot new multimedia programming is located in the Get It Now virtual store - customers can access video from
favorite news, sports and entertainment providers in the getFLIX shopping aisle and check out new cutting-edge 3D games in the getGAMES aisle. V CAST also gives customers unlimited airtime to browse and view applications in the other familiar Get It Now shopping aisles - such as getTONES and getGOING.

V CAST customers can find Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. content on the LG VX8000 phone from Verizon Wireless. With the LG VX8000, V CAST customers can download content on their mobile phones with just a few clicks and experience outstanding clarity and sharpness. The LG VX8000 is available to Verizon Wireless customers for $149.99 after $70 rebate with a two-year customer agreement.
