Procera Networks Partners With Leading Wireless Mesh Network Provider SkyPilot to Deliver Carrier-Class, Broadband Internet Services

31 December 2006

Procera® Networks, Inc. (OTCBB: PRNW), a pioneering developer of intelligent network traffic and service management infrastructure equipment, and SkyPilot Networks, the leading provider of carrier-class broadband wireless mesh networks, announced a partnership to enhance SkyPilot's customers' ability to monitor, improve and troubleshoot bandwidth utilization in their networks.

Procera and SkyPilot will work together to deliver an enhanced wireless mesh network infrastructure solution to both companies' worldwide customer base of network operators. The companies will jointly develop advanced capabilities to enable next-generation wireless mesh networks to offer new solutions such as application prioritization, and help the operators collect detailed bandwidth and individual usage statistics, in order to more effectively control and shape traffic for optimal performance.

"Procera's network traffic control and bandwidth optimization complement SkyPilot's robust, reliable and scalable wireless mesh network infrastructure," said Sunil Dhar, Procera's Director of Product Management. "Wireless networks benefit from a flexible solution like PacketLogic to ensure connected users obtain a sufficient, secure and quality session every time they connect to the mesh network."

"SkyPilot and Procera share a number of common customers that have deployed the PacketLogic system to provide enhanced traffic identification and bandwidth control capabilities," said Brian Jenkins, Vice President of Product Management at SkyPilot. "These customers have proven that the two solutions work together to offer enhanced capabilities, such as application prioritization for VoIP and bandwidth abuse control."

Several service providers have already deployed Procera's PacketLogic appliances in combination with SkyPilot's wireless mesh infrastructure. They include Bamboo Telecom of Spain and McKay Computing Services of Australia. Several other SkyPilot operators are also currently evaluating Procera's PacketLogic.

"Procera and SkyPilot have a truly synergistic partnership," said Albert Lopez, Vice President of Business Development and Product Management at Procera Networks. "PacketLogic delivers the most accurate visibility into network traffic passing through SkyPilot's best-of-breed wireless mesh infrastructure, giving SkyPilot's customers the power and control to drill down to the user level to ensure the best experience and highest level of quality for all users."

Procera Networks and SkyPilot Networks are both located in the Silicon Valley and expect to continue to build the partnership to leverage both companies' growing worldwide presence.
