Promixis LLC, Releases NetRemote 1.1 Featuring MediaBridge 2.0, Expanding Wireless Control of Users' Digital Music Collection

15 June 2005

NetRemote Music supports controlling playback on multiple computers within multiple zones from any number of clients. With NetRemote, you can browse and play music by artist, genre, playlist, or album cover art from your Pocket PC or Windows computer. Since NetRemote uses the WiFi standard to communicate, there is no line of site issue common with most remote controls. As a result, NetRemote users can access and control their music from anywhere in their home. NetRemote is the only application available that provides this level of versatile control and playback for Windows PC’s and PPC’s. A user can fully customize their NetRemote by creating custom graphics and layouts or downloading any number of predefined interfaces from the Promixis web site.

NetRemote is available in three additional versions:
NetRemote IR provides infrared remote control of any audio, video or IR-enabled device. Users can consolidate all of their various remote controls into one central IR remote – their Pocket PC. NetRemote IR turns the Pocket PC into a customizable learning remote and supports creating macro commands for controlling several devices with one simple click.

NetRemote Pro includes the features of NetRemote Music and further expands the power of home automation and complete control through a flexible mechanism allowing for embedding web pages, controlling Promixis’ award winning server Girder automation framework, and more.

NetRemote Pro+IR combines the power of NetRemote Pro plus the infrared remote capabilities of NetRemote IR to create the most complete, powerful and flexible two-way control for the Pocket PC available today.

NetRemote is sold online at https://www.promixis.com and is available in four versions: NetRemote Music, IR, Pro and Pro+IR, starting at $19.99.

Users may download a 30-day free trial of all versions of NetRemote at http://www.promixis.com. NetRemote supports most leading Pocket PC devices (PPC 2002 or greater), such as the Dell Axim line and HP/Compaq iPaq series and Windows 98 and greater operating systems. Wireless control requires WiFi or BlueTooth capability.
