Proxim Provides Announcement Regarding Auditor Opinion18 March 2005
Proxim Corporation (Nasdaq: PROX - News), a leader in wireless networking equipment for Wi-Fi and broadband wireless networks, provided today an announcement that its financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2004, issued on March 15, 2005 and filed on March 16, 2005 with the Securities and Exchange Commission in the Company's Annual Report on Form 10-K, contained a going concern qualification from its independent registered public accounting firm. This announcement is made in compliance with the new Nasdaq Rule 4350(b), which requires separate disclosure of receipt of an audit opinion that contains a going concern qualification, and does not reflect any change or amendment to the financial statements issued on March 15, 2005.
The Company's financial statements issued March 11, 2004 for the year ended December 31, 2003 also contained a going concern qualification. The basis for the Company's most recent going concern qualification is set forth in the Company's Annual Report on Form 10-K.
