PSC Inc. Announces Worldwide Agreement With Carrefour

PSC Inc., an international
data-collection technology and services provider, today announced an
international agreement with worldwide retailer Carrefour Group, the 2nd
largest retailer in the world and the leading retailer in Europe. PSC emerged
as the top Portable Data Terminal (PDT) provider following a comprehensive
review process by Carrefour of numerous competitors. Carrefour has a retail
presence in 30 countries with 11,000 stores in the hypermarket, supermarket
and hard discount formats.
Under the terms of the agreement, PSC will provide mobile computers and
services to Carrefour in over 30 countries. Up to 12,000 PSC(R) Falcon(R)
handheld scanning units -- Falcon 340/345, Falcon 4220 and Falcon 4420
devices -- will be installed in three main geographic regions (Latin America,
Asia, Europe) in countries such as France, Poland, Czech Republic, Turkey,
Greece, Spain, Italy, Brazil, Belgium, and Taiwan. The deal specifies that PSC
provide critical software porting and integration with existing provider
equipment to ensure Carrefour's policies and systems will not be compromised.

Lomax adds that PSC's expertise in batch mode processing as well as
real-time processing added to PSC's final value proposition in the selection

as supporting Carrefour's move to RF networks as they occur.
A Carrefour Group discount store opens every day, a new Carrefour Champion
supermarket every 3 days, and a Carrefour hypermarket every week.
