PSC Inc. Employees Raise Money for Victims of Hurricane Katrina13 October 2005
PSC Inc., a global leader in international data-collection technology and bar code scanning products, announced today that it will make a contribution of over $10,000 to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina. The money was raised by PSC employees with a dollar for dollar matching grant from the company. The funds are being donated to the American Red Cross to aid in the recovery of the hard-hit Gulf Coast region. "Our employees were very concerned about the situation in the Gulf region and took it upon themselves to raise money to assist the many residents who lost everything in Hurricane Katrina. PSC agreed to enhance their efforts with matching corporate funds," said Rhone Lee, Vice President of Human Resources. "We believe the Red Cross will use that money effectively and we hope that our gift will encourage other companies to donate in a similar fashion."
