Quality, conformance and price-competitiveness are the name of the game with AlanDick's wireless installation components business15 July 2005
AlanDick, the cellular, radar, enterprise and broadcast communications infrastructure specialist, has successfully established itself as a key wireless installation components supplier in the global marketplace.
The company, which has achieved ISO 9001:2000 quality certification at its UK and Thailand manufacturing operations, and is on target to achieve global certification by the end of next year, is also a one-stop-shop when it comes to installation components, whether in the current mainstream of 2G/3G cellular, or in the emerging WiFi standards arena.
On the cables front, the company says it can supply components for the entire path from the equipment output stage, right through to the antenna input connector point. As if this wasn't enough, the company can also supply all the necessary fixing, clamping, sealing and marking products that are required for such a granular level of components.
This cradle-to-grave approach with wireless installation components is augmented by multiple offerings within each product group. The idea behind this strategy, says Jacco Neutél, AlanDick's wireless components manager, is to allow customers to choose from a `kit' of products that give the best fit for the customer's requirements, applications and preferences.
"Many one-stop-shops only offer a single selection of components in many categories. Although this approach enhances satisfaction levels, it does not go the extra mile to achieve 110 per cent customer satisfaction. The AlanDick ethos with wireless installation components does - which is why we have adopted the strategy," he said.
AlanDick are also planning to achieve ISO 14001: 2004 certification globally for its components.
The company's end-to-end quality ethos also extents to the supply of any-specification products for monopole, tower and roof top applications. Every product is manufactured to rigorous quality standards and consistently responds to the ever-changing global demands of the cellular industry.
Modern manufacturer standards, coupled with just-in-time stock supply strategies, mean that the wireless installation components that arrive at customer sites, ready for installation by AlanDick's fully trained staff, if required, are highly cost-competitive.
By taking a multi-component approach to customer requirements, AlanDick believes its clients can have access to a wide of adaptors, hangers, hardware, weatherproofing, coax mounting systems and bridges, as well as monopole mounting solutions and pipe mounts - in both traditional and universal designs, if required.
One useful feature of the company's coaxial strategy is the support for universal grounding kits that can accommodate any size of coax from ½ inch to 2 ¼ inch, along with universal stand-off kits and angle adapters that can accommodate any type of snap-in hanger.
"These aren't just products that are available in selected markets that are convenient to the company. They are globally supplied products that conform to the highest possible quality standards, and are available to be fitted by highly-experienced, but local, company staff, if required. We understand the small bits that make the big bits work!" said Neutél.
Notes to editors: AlanDick's wireless installation components supplied to customers include items such as: angle adaptors, stand off adaptors, plastic (polypropylene) feeder clamps, stainless steel hangers, mounting hardware kits for coax blocks and hangers, hoisting grips, weatherproofing kits, and cable ties plus markers.
Other items include cable entry modules such as aluminium entrance plates, boots and plugs; and site grounding accessories such as grounding kits and bus bars.
