Shipcom, Dalosy and The Vision Web Release an AutoID Application for Microsoft's Axapta ERP Software

10 October 2005

Shipcom, a leading provider of integrated
supply chain AutoID applications, along with Dalosy B.V. and The Vision Web,
has announced an AutoID application which enables users of Microsoft's Axapta
ERP system to execute Warehouse transactions (and all other available Axapta
functions) on mobile RFID or barcode devices. This application was developed
using the CATAMARAN AutoID infrastructure. This application was unveiled at a
seminar held at the Microsoft Conference Center at Schipol-Rijk in Amsterdam
on October 4, 2005.
"This Axapta AutoID application shows the power of our CATAMARAN AutoID
platform to integrate with third party ERP systems. We already have robust
connectors to systems like SAP, Oracle, Provia, Manhattan, and Legacy
systems," says Matthijs Uijterschout, Vice President Operations at Shipcom
Wireless. "Dalosy consultants, together with Axapta experts from The Vision
Web, were able to develop this solution themselves, after having attended
CATAMARAN training at Shipcom's headquarters in Houston. The CATAMARAN-Axapta
integration is seamless and the speed of the transactions is extremely fast."
"Being a distributor of CATAMARAN and users of Microsoft Business
Solutions Axapta, Dalosy were the first to implement the Axapta AutoID
application," says Jan Penning, General Manager at Dalosy B.V. "We
implemented the newly developed solution in our warehouse in Ridderkerk and
were able to improve our business processes greatly; we reduced our costs and
the number of errors in the order pick process has been decreased to almost
none. Thanks to CATAMARAN, we are able to offer our customers a solution that
integrates seamlessly with their Axapta-systems."

About Shipcom:

risk and is the most flexible choice for supply chain and asset tracking
