Sprint Nextel Secures New Credit Line and MCI Managed Network Services Adopts IT Infrastructure Library(R) Framework21 December 2005

(NYSE:S) said Monday it entered a five-year, $6 billion credit facility and a $3.2 billion term loan to replace existing arrangements under Nextel's credit facility. Sprint Nextel, formed earlier this year when Sprint bought Nextel Communications Inc., said the credit facility and the loan will replace a $4 billion revolving credit facility and a $2.2 billion term loan under the Nextel credit facility. In addition, Verizon Wireless has agreed to extend an attractive discount on monthly access to over 50,000 County Government employees. MCI, Inc.
