Verizon Wireless V CAST customers Can Cruise the Half-Pipe and Enjoy Snowboarding Action in the Palms of Their Hands

5 March 2006

Even though the excitement of the world's biggest winter sports competition has come to a close in Italy, Verizon Wireless V CAST customers can still chill out, cruise through the course or throw down 920s and 1080s in the half-pipe. Whether a die-hard snowboarder or simply a fan, V CAST customers can download and play 3D snowboarding games directly on their V CAST-enabled phones.

V CAST thrill seekers looking to re-live the competition will jump at the opportunity to download and play Massive Snowboarding by Gameloft and experience the excitement of having nothing but blue sky above and miles of virgin powder below. With incredibly real 3D graphics, V CAST customers can challenge the competition by cutting a line and busting a massive 1080 off a cliff. Players can choose to be one of five individual characters who board on four beautifully rendered mountains with eight, fully-stocked courses that include ramps, rails and half-pipes. With simple, intuitive controls and all the tricks players expect from a snowboarding game, Massive Snowboarding is the ultimate winter sports challenge.

Snowboarders who didn't get enough of the half-pipe or the parallel giant slalom can also check out 3D Extreme Air Snowboarding by Digital Chocolate. An extreme sports game with smooth animation and real 3D graphics, 3D Extreme Air Snowboarding on V CAST offers players of every level multiple gaming options. With practice, career and speed pipe modes -- including power-ups and speed-strips -- the game is perfect for players craving the acrobatic grace of half-pipe pros or the adrenaline rush of a high-speed race against the clock. 3D Extreme Air Snowboarding also has a multiplayer option, allowing players to compete against each other and throw down their mad snowboarding skills.

Customers who have always dreamed of turning a course with a touch of fantasy can find this action-packed world in FINAL FANTASY(R) VII Snowboarding by Square Enix(TM). Based on the mini-game found in the original PlayStation(R) game console release, this 3D snowboarding challenge will have V CAST customers flying high over the competition.

Verizon Wireless customers with a V CAST-enabled phone can purchase and download Massive Snowboarding by Gameloft for $2.99 monthly access or $8.49 for unlimited use purchase; or 3D Extreme Air Snowboarding by Digital Chocolate for $3.99 monthly access or $8.99 for unlimited use purchase; or Final Fantasy VII Snowboarding by Square Enix, Inc. for $2.99 monthly access or $9.99 for unlimited use purchase from the getGAMES shopping aisle in the Get It Now(R) virtual store. Download charges for Get It Now applications vary and airtime charges apply when browsing, downloading and using certain applications. Customers need a Get It Now-enabled phone and Verizon Wireless digital service to access the Get It Now virtual store.
