Wireless Services Corporation Adds JP Mobile's Wireless E-Mail to Expanding Suite of Data Services for Carriers27 April 2005
Wireless Services Corporation today announced that the company has added SureWave, JP Mobile's award-winning wireless e-mail solution, to its rapidly-expanding portfolio of revenue-generating services for carriers.
"Wireless e-mail is a popular application to drive usage and increase revenues," said Rich Begert, CEO, Wireless Services Corporation. "But carriers don't want to be locked into a single device, and subscribers want a solution that is easy to provision and does not require server software. JP Mobile was the ideal partner for us."
With the new Wireless Services Corporation offering, carriers can offer their subscribers real-time wireless access to their Exchange servers. With their existing Symbian(R), Palm(R) or Windows(R) Mobile devices, users can access personal and corporate data anytime, anywhere. Corporate inbox, contacts, calendar, tasks and public folders are wirelessly pushed and synched to mobile professionals' devices automatically. Moreover, they can send/receive, view and edit attachments, as well as file and delete e-mail on the go.
JP Mobile's SureWave Mobile Connect for Service Providers provides hosted e-mail providers with a secure, highly scalable, easy-to-deploy system for extending Microsoft Outlook wireless e-mail and personal information management (PIM) data to leading mobile devices. SureWave further maximizes the service provider's profit potential by featuring automated low-cost, over-the-air (OTA) provisioning of mobile devices.
"We're thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with Wireless Services, and enhance their proven ability to create new sources of revenues for carriers," said Dayakar Puskoor, CEO, JP Mobile.
